Apple Changes Tagline for Retina MacBook Pro

        Surprising news, Apple changes it's Retina MacBook Pro tagline from "The highest-resolution notebook ever. And the second-highest." to "High performance has never been so weel defined." Now let us discuss what could this mean, why did Apple changed it? My guess is because the ChromeBook Pixel has been released makes the 13-inch 2560 by 1600 MacBook Pro not the second highest resolution, so Apple said "Damn it Google, we got to change the tagline now." That is probably the most obvious reason for the tagline change, but otherwise no big deal!

Can you make an RPG using Microsoft's Excel?

     
    Maybe you can, maybe you can't. If you can, can you make it like the picture above? The game is made by an accountant named Cary Walkin and it looks boss! If there were no grids I would probably believe if someone told me he made this using flash.

    Features of the game includes: 

• Random enemies: Over 2000 possible enemies with different AI abilities.
• Random items: 39 item modifiers result in over 1000 possible item combinations and attributes.
• An interesting story with 4 different endings depending on how the player has played the game.
  8 boss encounters, each with their own tactics.
• 4 pre-programmed arenas followed by procedurally generated arenas. Each play-through has its own challenges.
• 31 Spells. There are many different strategies for success.
• 15 Unique items. Unique items have special properties and can only drop from specific enemies.
• 36 Achievements.

Google+ Now Supports Animated GIFs!

       

          
Yes Google+ fans! Finally, we can set animated GIFs as our profile picture, after    
previously only being allowed on posts. Guess who is going to be making lots of GIF! Me! I think GIFs are starting to be apart as the key features in Google+ it really helps bring the social media more alive. Also, if you ever need to find the perfect animated avatar you can use the new filters on Google to only search for GIFs! Props to Google for being very awesome lately!

Review:

    Overall the GPlus app looks a whole lot better than the previous one. It brings in some new functionality that have already exist in the web version, such as re-sharing to communities, images are no longer cropped, post are provided with more information before clicking on it and links are displayed differently. I really like the new update, it brings the experience closer to the web version. Is it worth updating? Yes! It is really worth it!

Top Features I Want on Google Keep

      Yes, Google Keep the new and hot note taking app released by Google a few days or so, available for the web and Andriod devices(4.0 or above). It is really great but here are some features I would like to see on Google Keep:

1. Reminders and due date
    
     You really can't just have a note taking app without any reminders can you?

2. Google now integration(With GPS)

     Wouldn't it be awesome if you have a reminder from GKeep and it shows up in Google Now with a picture(if you choose to upload)? Or what if you are on the supermarket and then your grocery list will pop up automatically in GNow as card, it would super awesome right?

3. Live sharing

    Basically being able to share your notes and let other people edit them live, similar to working on a document together on GDrive

4. Auto-thumbnail for web pages

    If you use G+, you can provide a link and pick a thumbnail for the post using pictures from the link, I want that feature too on Google Keep!

5. Chrome extension

    If you use chrome you are probably familiar with the +1 extension, or any other extension. Now I want an extension when you click it makes a pop up from the top left corner of Chrome for me to write a note easily.

6. Convert QR code to a note

     Can be useful sometimes.

7. More colour related features

     Firstly, I want the ability to enter a hex code for a colour and being able to favourite the colour to GKeep so that I don't have to re-type the code everytime I want to make a new note. Second, is I want to be able to change the colours for the text, not just the background. Last but not least, please make the notes background coloured not just the top, when using the web app.

8. Swiping note deletes it not archive it(make it configurable)

    I delete more than I archive.

9. Attach videos and other files

    Images aren't cool enough, also I would love to attach them from the app, not by clicking a share button on gallery! :|

10. iOS app

    Some people just don't know how great Android is but still love GKeep :D!



     

Is Samsung trying to make the Qualcomm GS4 unstable?

       The Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chip is clocked at 1.7GHz. Now the question is why did Samsung over-clock it a .2GHz more? Are they trying to make the device wear out faster? This is clearly a big mystery on why it is over-clocked. I can't see any normal user who would need a .2GHz faster CPU, 1.7 is fast enough. To top it all of the international variant is can only run up to 1.6GHz. Maybe Samsung is trying to drain the 4G variant's battery life? Look at this analogy, overclock CPU + 1080p display + 4G radio equals a no good battery life. What's going on with you Sammy?

Would you still consider getting a Galaxy S4(for PowerUsers)?

         

       

       While the Samsung Galaxy S4 is a good phone specs-wise many people would argue that what is on the inside of the phone doesn't impress them, especially those who are powerusers, who prefers stock android. Some of you would say, "Well, it is Android we can root it, install a custom rom and never have to see TouchWiz again." Though it is theoretically true for many Android, it's not likely to happen for the Galaxy S4.

        Why you might ask? There are two main problems. Firstly, the bootloader of the Samsung Galaxy S4 is highly protected. ChainFire, the maker of SuperSU has failed to unlock the bootloader and root the Galaxy S4. Bummer right? However, I still think that the S4 still could be rooted the device is not even out yet so only few people have tried to root it.

         Now let's move to the second problem, even after you are rooted you would still see the ugly TouchWiz look because you have not installed a new rom. Now they bad news lies here, CyanogenMod isn't going to make a ROM for the S4. You might say well, "I don't mind using other ROMs" or "I don't even use CM." But then you have to know that most ROMs are based off CM so the only ROMs you might see are the buggy unstable ones.

        I hope through this post you might want to rethink on getting the S4, or possibly wait until you have seen growth on the S4 ROM development. So just make sure to know what you want a smartphone to be able to do before buying them. Other than that you might as well be on the look for other phones the HTC One or may be an iPhone(LOL)?

Google Keep Review

          Yesterday Google released an new app! You might have already guessed it from the title. It's Google KEEP! You might ask yourself, what is Google Keep or why do I need it.

Short definition, it's Evernote from Google. All jokes aside it is indeed very similar too Evernote, but it what ways does it differ?

         They way that it differs from Evernote is that there are no notebooks and all those fancy things, everything is centralized in one scrollable menu. So if you want to right long notes Google Keep might isn't the best app for you. However, if you want an app to help you with taking notes and todo lists, Google Keep is the way to go. 

         For instance if you saw this interesting product that you want to look up later you can simply take a picture, caption and when you forget what the product is you can just open Google Keep and it's there. You don't have to remember which note book is it in. The UI in Google Keep is really great as well. It's similar to cards UI in Google Now, but with bigger text and a different font so you can really focus on what tasks should you do!

         From my perspective I think Google Keep is another great app from Google. With it's great UI and ease of use, it's definitely a great app for people with a lot of tasks like me. It's free on the Play Store as well so if it turns out to not fit you, nothing is lost!

         Here are some improvement I would like to see on Google Keep:

-Swiping a memo should delete it not archive it, or at least make and option so.

-Improve on the web app, I don't really like it.

-Give the widgets a more "Cards UI" look.
